Materials we transload
Dry, free-flowing materials in big-bags, octabins and 25 kg sacks. Plastic granules are the most common, followed by minerals as powder and granulate.
What we handle

Plastic granules
PE, PP, PET, PVC, ABS, regranulate
-
Minerals
Lime, talc, calcium carbonate, bentonite
-
Feed and food

Plastic granules and regranulate
PE, PP, PET, PVC, ABS and regranulates (R-PET, R-HDPE, R-PP). Granules arrive at the Port of Koper in containers, in octabins or in big-bags of 1,000 to 1,250 kg. The sieve holds back fused lumps and film residue, and free fall keeps the granules intact. With regranulate, batch separation matters because properties differ between deliveries.
Minerals
Lime, talc, calcium carbonate, bentonite and similar powders and granulates. Powders need dry storage and dust control during discharge. [confirm: dust extraction] Mineral powders have a higher bulk density than granules, so the trailer is full at a smaller volume.
Feed and food
[confirm: sugar, flour, feed raw materials] Food and feed carry extra requirements for trailer cleaning, allergens and traceability. Which certificates we hold for this group is confirmed with the quote. [confirm: GMP+, HACCP]
Industrial powders
[confirm list] Chemical raw materials, fillers, pigments and additives in bags. Before transloading we need the safety data sheet to check dusting, hygroscopicity and cleaning requirements.
What we do not handle
[LIST: e.g. dangerous goods under ADR, wet or sticky materials, food without certificates]
What we need to know about the material
To estimate time, sieve and trailer cleaning:
- safety data sheet (SDS) or technical data sheet (TDS)
- bulk density and flowability
- sensitivity to moisture and temperature
- whether it is food, feed or an allergen
- packaging type and weight, bag closure (discharge spout, open bottom)
